Plan to develop PSX emulator for Xbox One

Post by ahgvjn » Thu Jan 26, 2017 8:24 am

Dear players,

I've already port most part of PCSX-rearmed to UWP. I wish I could get the job done before the end of February.

Great!! The PSX emulator should be the one that most users expect for the community that moves between their emulators. Thanks and luck!

YES please .. We need PSX. A lot a lot of gamers want this.
Also, share a video with us running some of the famous games like as Vigilante 8, Twisted Metal 2, Crash Bandicoot, Driver.

You could hide the emu in a app like 2 other emulators did ;) then we dont need to use devolper mode

The Dolphin emulator emulates the GameCube and Wii consoles and require resources that on Xbox One with the UWP are not available. Keep in mind that UWP applications have a limited use of 2-4 processor cores and 1 GB of RAM. Maybe with Scorpio? We'll see how much performance increases and if they increase the amount of resources to UWP apps.

I think it's a wrong way - to create an emulator and mask it as another program.

My idea is based on a different concept: create a development environment or a very simple game (for example, in the style of 8-bit graphics) that would enable to make, upload (via USB) and share levels created by players. Something in the style of Project Spark.

Creation of these levels would be possible on PCs, too. The emulator itself, will then be uploaded by the user as another " game level". Likewise, he will load the BIOS console and ROMs.
Thus, Microsoft could not delete this "game" from Store- it would not contain even a portion of the emulator,  responsibility would be on the end user respectively creators of "level".

What do you think about this concept?
